What you don't have to bring

Fortunately, most North African cities have good stocks of products you need when travelling. These are the things you don't need to pack before leaving home:
- Razors. It is easy to get the same razor blades that you use back home, in fact the variety of products might even be better than you are used to. But even better, barber shops are plentiful, and a tight raze costs next to nothing, and is quite nice. Remember to tell the barber if your skin does not support against-the-hair razing. North African skin does....
- T-shirts. This could be a nice way of getting souvenirs, and unless you are a horrible haggler, the prices are really affordable.
- Sun glasses. It is easy to get cheap sun glasses, just as up to date as back home.
- A lot of clothes. You can reduce your luggage tremendously. if you just accept the little cost of having your clothes washed in the hotel. Just remember to make clear that everything must be dry before you leave the hotel. Everyone could easily survive weeks with 2 t-shirts, 2 pieces of underwear and one extra set of trousers in addition to what you wear.
